What We Do

Our organization is mainly focused on the conservation of Indian heritage and culture through the following activities

Research and documentation

Conducting research and documentation on various aspects of the culture, such as traditional practices, art forms, languages, and historical sites by interviewing experts, collecting artifacts, and creating a knowledge base for future generations to learn from.

Outreach and education

Raising awareness and educate the public about the importance of Indian heritage and cultural conservation by conducting workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns. Collaborations with schools, universities, and local communities to promote cultural understanding and appreciation.

Preservation of historical sites

Identifying historical sites that are at risk of degradation or destruction and work towards their restoration and preservation. Organizing preservation drives, seeking government support, and engaging with local communities to safeguard these important cultural landmarks.

Art and performance preservation

Encouraging and supporting traditional Indian art forms, music, dance, and theater. Providing platforms for artists to showcase their talents, organize cultural festivals, and offer training programs to preserve these art forms and pass them on to future generations.

India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great-grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.

Women empowerment

यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः।
It means that Gods exist where women are valued.

Bougainvillea Art Foundation strongly believes in and promotes this ancient philosophy by working to eliminate bias against women in society. The Foundation strives to ensure equal opportunities for women to shine in their chosen fields especially through Vernacular art. This would also lead to the financial independence and economic development of the women in particular and the society at large.

Mentoring girls and women and encouraging them to speak up is one of the ways to ensure women's empowerment. The Foundation is helping women to know their rights through guidance, counselling, and support and reminding women about their importance and value in society.

The Foundation is working towards women empowerment through the following activities
